What we collect

• What you give us: name, email, phone (optional), service address and ZIP, plan, number of bins, HOA or community details, and notes.
• What is collected automatically: basic technical data, like IP address, browser type and pages viewed. Our hosting provider (IONOS) collects it in server logs to run the site.
• As a customer: service history, bin photos, Bin Health Reports and payment records. We do not store full card numbers on this website.

How we use it

To answer your request, check route availability, quote, schedule and provide service, bill you, send service notices, keep records, prevent spam, and improve the site. We send marketing emails or texts only with your consent, and you can stop them anytime.

Who we share it with

Only service providers who help us run the business, such as website hosting, email, scheduling, payment processing and text messaging. They use it only to provide their services to us. We may also share it if the law requires. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your text-message opt-in with other companies for their marketing.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses short-lived request identifiers that prevent spam. It does not use analytics, advertising or retargeting trackers. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

Text messages (SMS)

When you book online, you agree to receive text messages from Bin Scientist at the mobile number you provide about your booking, service reminders and updates. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help, or call (561) 954-3627. We keep a record of your consent (the date and time, the IP address it came from and the consent wording you agreed to). We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text-message opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging service providers that send our messages use your number only to deliver them for us.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not become service: up to 12 months. Customer and billing records: while you are a customer and for up to 5 years after, for tax and accounting.

Your choices

Email or call us to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop marketing. We will respond within 30 days. Some records may be kept where the law requires.

Children

This site is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or email is completely secure. Please do not put sensitive information, like card numbers or ID numbers, in form notes.

Other sites

Links to outside sites, like public-health or city pages, follow their own privacy practices.
