How Stuart’s own sanitation crew collects
Inside city limits, the City of Stuart runs its own Sanitation Department. Residential garbage is picked up once a week on Monday or Tuesday routes, depending on the City’s route map.
The City asks residents to set carts out no later than 6 a.m. on collection day, no more than 3 feet from the edge of the pavement with the handle facing away from the street, and to bring them in within 12 hours. City rules say carts are to be kept by the customer “in good and sanitary condition.”
