Tequesta’s automated carts and pickup days
Tequesta’s curbside garbage, yard waste and recycling collection is provided through Waste Management. Trash is collected twice a week: Monday and Thursday in the green map area, Tuesday and Friday in the yellow area.
With automated collection, all bagged trash must fit inside the cart with the lid firmly closed. Extra bags and customer-owned containers aren’t collected. Recycling is weekly and must go in the bins loose, not bagged.
Items need to be at the curb by 7:00 a.m., and there’s no collection on Thanksgiving or Christmas. We plan your clean right after one of your trash days.

A lid that closes
CDC rodent-prevention guidance says to use a garbage can with no holes and a tight lid, and to clean garbage containers frequently with soap and water. Tequesta’s automated carts already need the lid shut. A clean rim and lid help it seal and give pests less to find.
