Port Salerno pickup on the County schedule
Port Salerno isn’t a city of its own. It’s one of Martin County’s Community Redevelopment Areas, with a waterfront business core that Martin County says is home to the last remaining commercial fishing dock in the county.
Martin County contracts with Waste Management (WM) for curbside garbage, recycling and yard waste in the unincorporated county. Garbage is picked up on two scheduled days each week, recycling on one of those same days, and yard waste every Wednesday. The County’s Collection Schedule Map shows the days for your address.
Every home gets a blue 64-gallon single-stream recycling cart. Set carts out by 6 a.m. on your service day with the handle and wheels facing the house, and leave 3 feet of clearance on all sides. Missed pickups and replacement carts go through WM at (772) 546-7700; the first replacement cart is free.
Homes here generally follow the County’s WM schedule, so we plan your clean for right after one of your two garbage days. Send your address and we’ll confirm your days and the route.
Collection rules change. Check your city or hauler for current days.

Clean first, stated plainly
CDC guidance says cleaning with soap, water and scrubbing removes germs, dirt and impurities from surfaces, and that surfaces should be cleaned before sanitizing or disinfecting because dirt can make those chemicals less effective. That’s why every visit starts with getting the residue out. We clean; we don’t claim to disinfect or sterilize your cart.
